Me rindo...

La civilización nos ha educado al estilo triunfalista, You're the best y We are the Champions, el mandamiento supremo es "no claudicarás", así que pasas una parte de tu vida dándote de topes contra la pared, cuando hay ocasiones en las que es un enorme placer y aprendizaje simplemente bajar los brazos y decir: Me rindo! así de simple. Es ahí cuando vencido y vulnerable suele llegar el entendimiento, la comprensión, la claridad... y si no ocurre, al menos te quitas una loza de encima.

Justo de esto trata una gran canción de la norteamericana Aimee Mann, una hermosa mujer con un talento deslumbrante y memorables canciones como Wise Up, una pieza imprescindible de la música contemporánea (no exagero... mmmm un poco).
Leí por ahí que cuando Paul Thomas Anderson (mi cineasta favorito) escuchó la canción imaginó el climax de una película que traía en la cabeza hacía tiempo, Magnolia.
No quiero escribir más, esta película y esta canción no se platican... mejor ponle play a este clip, poco más de 3 minutos de la película en cuestión, el maestro Anderson lo sintetiza TODO acompañado del genio de Aimee Mann!
